Québec (Canada), a UNESCO Creative City of Literature since 2017, together with the Festival ‘Québec en toutes lettres’, organized virtually ‘La grande traversée poétique’(The great poetic journey) from October, 23rd to 25th 2020.
On this unique occasion, more than 200 poets and creative writers from 20 countries gathered online and share their literary pieces through readings, performances and videos.
To celebrate poetry’s great diversity and its powerful means of bringing cultures together, Creative Cities of Literature, including Dunedin (New-Zealand), Manchester and Nottingham (United Kingdom), Odessa (Ukraine), Utrecht (Netherlands) and Wonju (Republic of Korea) participated in the event.
The event was streamed continuously for a total duration of 12 hours via the Festival Facebook page as well as via the 25 literary organisations, partners of the event. https://www.quebecentouteslettres.com
